Delete your SilaTrail account
SilaTrail is operated by Silahub Technologies Inc. You can request deletion without reinstalling the app or giving us sensitive information.
How to request deletion
- In SilaTrail: sign in, open Settings, choose Delete account, complete the fresh sign-in check and confirm the request.
- Without app access: email hello@silatrail.com from the address you used for SilaTrail. We send the same generic acknowledgement whether or not the address is registered, then complete identity verification through a separate secure step.
Never send us a password, sign-in token, payment or bank details, receipt, or other financial document. The public request process does not reveal whether an email address has a SilaTrail account.
What is deleted
After verification and required ownership or billing steps, deletion covers the SilaTrail authentication identity and sessions, profile, Business memberships and invitations, account-only preferences, private receipt and support files that are not part of records retained for a shared Business or legal obligation, and user-scoped expense, trip, banking, invoice, contractor, review, support and export data that can be removed without harming another authorized user’s records.
Shared Businesses and subscriptions
A Business is a shared record space. If you own a Business with other authorized users, it must be transferred to an eligible administrator or separately approved for Business deletion. Leaving or deleting one user does not silently erase records another authorized user is entitled or required to keep. Active Stripe subscriptions are cancelled through the controlled provider workflow before the related account data is removed; SilaTrail never asks you to email payment details.
What may be retained
- Business and tax records: records that Silahub Technologies Inc. is legally required to preserve, or that remain under the control of a shared Business, are restricted and retained for the applicable period. Canadian business records are generally kept for six years from the end of the last tax year they relate to, and may be held longer when law, an audit, dispute or preservation notice requires it.
- Payment records: limited subscription, invoice and transaction evidence may remain with Stripe or SilaTrail for the provider’s legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute periods; full payment-card numbers are not stored by SilaTrail.
- Deletion audit: the request identifier, user UUID, status and event timestamps are kept for 24 months after completion, then become eligible for deletion. The audit does not contain passwords, tokens, receipt contents or financial values.
- Backups: deleted data may remain in access-restricted provider backups until the configured backup cycle expires. Backup copies are not used to restore a deleted account except as required for disaster recovery, after which deletion controls are reapplied.
Timing and questions
We acknowledge a request without confirming whether an account exists. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days. Ownership transfer, an active subscription, a legal hold or an unresolved dispute can extend that period; we will explain the blocking category without asking for sensitive documents by email.
